Congratulations on your group’s interest in joining the National Peace Corps Association!
The National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) is the umbrella organization dedicated to promotion of the collective impact of the Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) community and their allies. NPCA uses its platform to both advocate for the continuation of Peace Corps ideals and highlight the opinions and good works of the groups that are committed to positively impacting communities throughout the world.
Here are five reasons to join this network of groups, initiatives and causes!
Criteria and Requirements
NPCA welcomes groups of interested RPCVs and friends of Peace Corps to our network. We generally require that all groups’ mission, purpose and structure adhere to the following guidelines:
- Demonstrate defined vision, mission, and goals for the group are aligned with NPCA’s vision, mission, and goals
- Show willingness and capacity to submit an annual and financial report
- Allow group data to be aggregated into global indicators in order to demonstrate the collective impact of NPCA
- Share membership information with NPCA upon request and subject to stated privacy policies (groups participating in NPCA’s RENXT database platform will enjoy synchronized data sharing)
- Group website will feature a link to NPCA’s website and note your status as an affiliate group
- Group establishes one generic email address for all communication with NPCA
- Mutual agreement to allow NPCA and groups to use images and other media from publications (with authorship credit)
- Sign of NPCA data sharing and member privacy protection agreement
Application Process
The affiliation process is a multi-step process. It is as follows:
Step One
Submit an expression of interest to [email protected]. The expression of interest must include the following:

- Name of the group
- Type of affiliate group
- Name and email address of of the contact person
- NPCA will confirm receipt of your expression of interest
Step Two
Submission of a formal application to NPCA, including the following:

- Affiliate group application form
- Signed Affiliate Group Agreement
Step Three
NPCA formally acknowledges receipt of the application
Step Four
Application reviewed by the NPCA Board of Directors’ Affiliate Group Network Committee, and a recommendation made is made to the board.
Timeline
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, however formal approval by the board will occur on a quarterly basis during board meetings. NPCA will confirm the date in which the process must be completed so that the official vote can be taken at the upcoming board meeting.
