Banner Photo: The recently formed Friends of Mexico NPCA affiliate group organized a first annual gathering in Querétaro, Mexico on November 9, 2024 to support a formal celebration of the 20th anniversary of Peace Corps in Mexico. The mixture of RPCVs & VSP participants with current Volunteers and staff created an exciting exchange of stories & ideas for the future.
National Peace Corps Association affiliate groups are made up of Returned Peace Corp Volunteers (RPCVs) and their allies who have come together based on common interests, shared experiences or collective values. Groups implement programs that promote continuation of service, as well as personal and professional networking. The five types of affiliate groups supported by the NPCA are Geographic, Country of Service, Workplace, Affinity and Cause-Related groups.
NPCA spotlights the collective impact of the RPCV community while facilitating communication and promoting collaboration between and among affiliated groups. These independent groups, as affiliates of NPCA, receive official recognition, social impact awards, marketing resources, database tools and NPCA’s Affiliate Group toolkit.
