A network that works for you

Whether you’re on the brink of your Peace Corps adventure, freshly returned from your impactful service, or a seasoned member of the Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) community, there’s no better time to join the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA).

Since 1983, NPCA has been a steadfast advocate for you and the Peace Corps on Capitol Hill. From expanding health coverage for current volunteers to supporting the global reach of Peace Corps initiatives and pushing for much-needed improvements within the agency, we’ve been your unwavering champion.

Becoming an NPCA member means joining a dynamic network dedicated to working for you. Whether you’re eager for opportunities to continue service, curious about the latest initiatives being implemented throughout the Peace Corps community, or seeking connections with like-minded RPCVs, we’re your go-to resource. Let NPCA be your next meaningful step in amplifying the impact of your Peace Corps journey.

Since 1961, more than 240,000
Americans have served in the Peace
Corps. NPCA offers a space to
connect, network, share stories, and
volunteer with a vibrant community
that resonates with your journey.

In 2023 alone, our community held
more than 160 in-person meetings
with congressional offices, urging
lawmakers to support legislation that
aligns with Peace Corps ideals. With
NPCA, you’re part of a powerful
movement shaping real change in
support of the Peace Corps.

NPCA can link you with over 145+
affiliate groups across the U.S. Each
a dynamic network where you can
engage in impactful causes and
initiatives, forge lasting connections,
and align with like-minded RPCVs.

Why we do what we do

At NPCA, we envision a united and vibrant Peace Corps community, embracing diversity and fostering a spirit of inclusion. Our mission is simple but profound: to champion the lifelong commitment to Peace Corps ideals. As you return from your transformative Peace Corps service, join NPCA in continuing the legacy of service, amplifying your impact, and building a network that stands in solidarity for world peace and friendship.

Continue your service journey at home

Your service story doesn’t end; it transforms. There’s still important work that lies ahead. NPCA’s Continuation of Service program offers impactful opportunities to contribute, bridge cultures, and renew your commitment to service, both at home and abroad. Imagine a hub of volunteering opportunities for Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) like yourself to keep the spirit of service alive long after your Peace Corps service. That’s what NPCA’s Continuation of Service platform on GivePulse does. The platform allows you to seek and explore events, causes, and skill-building chances with affiliate groups and other social impact partner organizations. Through our Continuation of Service program, you can take action and support causes tackling environment and climate change, refugees and immigrants, education and literacy, and more! Visit our website to learn more about these volunteering opportunities.

“Peace Corps is so much more than one
volunteer in one community for two years.
Instead, we are a global network of
individuals from over 140 countries who
work together at the grassroots level, who
are not willing to sit on the sidelines, and
who are committed to being agents of
progress.”

~ Carol Spahn, Peace Corps Week 2023
