Our Global Learning Collaboratives extend our reach with engagements in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Greece, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

Meet some of our students and faculty:

Morgan Ruelle, Armenia, 2004-06

Name: Morgan Ruelle

RPCV: Armenia, 2004-06

Currently: Associate Professor of Sustainability & Social Justice

“My experiences as an environmental education volunteer in Armenia (2004-2006) laid the groundwork for my academic career, sparking my interest in traditional food systems and reinforcing my commitment to community-engaged research. At Clark, we greatly value having Coverdell Fellows in our classes. Their experiences in the Peace Corps enrich our discussions and team projects. I am always excited to collaborate with Fellows on research here in Worcester or projects in Mexico and Ethiopia, deepening our knowledge and honing skills for meaningful careers.”

Marissa Kelemen, Zambia, 2018-20

Name: Marissa Kelemen

RPCV: Zambia, 2018-20

Currently: Clark Coverdell Fellow

“I chose to be a Coverdell Fellow at Clark University because of the impressive faculty and staff, global learning opportunities and the diverse, international student body. This past summer, I had an amazing opportunity to intern at an organization in Bangladesh through one of Clark’s new Global Learning Collaboratives. I gained so much from this experience and I’m so grateful to have access to opportunities like this through Clark.”

Katie Walker, Senegal, 2018-20

Name: Katie Walker

RPCV: Senegal, 2018-20

Currently: Clark Coverdell Fellow

“I chose to attend Clark University to expand my environmental science and policy knowledge while also being able to take electives in other departments and the opportunity to learn from a diverse range of professors. This has allowed me to take advanced geospatial analytics courses and introductory environmental modeling classes. With the university’s culture of encouraging students to become involved in the local community, the Coverdell Fellowship, and being located in a diverse city, Clark was my top choice for graduate schools.”
