Access to the Best
The School of Diplomacy and International Relations at Seton Hall University is strategically located, with classes offered on our campus just 14 miles from New York City, at the United Nations headquarters, in the heart of Washington, D.C., online and around the globe. We are a welcoming international community of students working closely with a faculty of award-winning scholars and veteran field professionals. Together we engage in a multilateral approach to diplomacy, conflict negotiation, policy analysis, economics, human rights, security and regional concerns.
Through one-on-one advising across 12 customizable graduate programs, hands-on application with more than 600 internship partners, and dialogue with nearly 40 international leaders and policy makers each year, we prepare talented professionals to advance global goals across the private, public and nonprofit sectors.
Connections Matter
Through a unique alliance with the United Nations Association of the United States of America and the United Nations Foundation, our students are exposed to today’s leaders and policymakers. Students from around the world come together to participate in a multidisciplinary curriculum that emphasizes multilateral diplomacy, conflict resolution, international economics and leadership. Our distinguished faculty brings essential theories and practical perspectives to the classroom. With a growing network of alumni working in the field of international relations, the School is strengthening international institutions by contributing well-prepared and talented diplomatic professionals.
A Natural Partnership
“The Coverdell Fellows Program is a natural fit for us. Both the Peace Corps and the School of Diplomacy recognize the importance of leadership development in an international setting. Both the Peace Corps and the School of Diplomacy understand that we are called to share knowledge and resources to make a difference in the lives of others.”
— Courtney Smith, Dean, School of Diplomacy and International Relations
