RPCVnexus Answers the Call of Volunteers Looking for Jobs

For the past two years, Current and Returned Peace Corps Volunteers have been hearing of and turning to a new group, RPCVnexus, for career services. Co-founded by Jonathan Keenan as a 501c3, RPCVnexus provides a one-stop-shop compiling resources and links from across the Peace Corps community, connection to a network of professionals, regular discussions and events for professional growth, and resume reviews as those applying to opportunities.

“It is through a collaborative effort that we can continue supporting the Volunteers who reach out to us”, Keenan said. “Rather than trying to recreate the wheel, we’re making sure people know where the wheels are and filling gaps as needed.” He’s not kidding either as over 650 Volunteers have used the RPCVnexus services and participated in their events thus far. The recent impacts to those working in federal government, the international sector, and beyond have kept Jonathan, his team, and their partners busier than. Even still, they’ve met the call. Since the start of the year, RPCVnexus has held 9 discussions on transitioning careers and finding support; 3 resume workshops; coordinated an RPCV Community-wide mentoring program; and launched a WhatsApp Community where 850+ Current and Returned Volunteers have used to connect with one another, organize, and get questions answered.
